If parents are separated or divorced, then BOTH parents need to provide permission before the assessment can begin. Ideally, this is done together so individuals can have the same information at the same time. However, if schedules do not align, separate meetings can be completed.

Parents who are separated or divorced BOTH need to provide their consent for an assessment to begin. Ideally, this is done in the same meeting, but if scheduling does not align, consent can be completed during separate meetings.

Legal guardians must also provide the appropriate documents to indicate their ability to provide consent.
